You could not hope for a better welcome from the hosts at Maison 20.

It is a beautiful, carefully thought out house that feels like home immediately you step in the door.

The room ( Appt Un ) at the top of house was divine with a lovely kitchen and dining area and also the living room was so cosy and pretty......lovely little touches everywhere.

The owner and her partner are so very warm and take pride in their offering - an invaluable jewel in the South West of France.

We will be back !

Quiet elegance
Everything about Maison 20 is extremely thoughtful: a parking space had been reserved for us because it was market day tomorrow; there was water, orange juice, milk and yoghourt in the fridge on arrival, together with fresh fruit and fresh flowers. The rooms really are as elegant as the photographs suggest, and the thick walls make it peaceful and cool, yet there is plenty of light.

There was a collection of herbal teas (a well as plenty of coffee for the machine, and breakfast tea), and each morning a basket of pastries was delivered to the door.

Eymet itself was very quiet in June, but with a great little market (fruit, nuts, duck, fish, pastries, wine...), and Leeann and Guy gave excellent restaurant recommendations.

As hosts they were both discreet and charming, and the house combined the best of the privacy of a private apartment with the friendliness of a family B&B. Our only regret is not staying longer- which we plan to remedy soon!
